Twentieth Annual West Los Angeles Youth Club
Invitational Scholarship Tournament
April 18, 19, 20, 2008
The West Los Angeles Youth Club is proud and very happy to announce the 20th Annual West Los Angeles Youth Club Invitational Scholarship Tournament..
We will be hosting divisions of Mens’, Womens’, Boys’, Girls’, and Sureshot basketball guaranteeing three games per team. We cordially invite your team’s participation for a successful tournament.
- Entry Fees
- Sureshots Coed (K-1st grade) - $225
- Girls/Boys 2nd Grade - $325
- Girls/Boys 3rd - 8th Grade - $350
- Girls/Boys 9th - 12th Grade - $375
- Mens’ and Womens’ Divisions - $395
- Team Rosters
- Ten (10) player’s maximum. (Only 10 awards per team)
- Rosters are to be league rosters. Additional players must be flagged on the roster and submitted to the Tournament Committee for review and approval. Priority placement will be given to league roster teams.
- Sureshot Division: Each player will receive a trophy (up to 10 awards per team).
- JAO rules will govern the Girls’ Division, and CBOSL rules will govern the Boys’ Division.
- Any protest regarding a player’s eligibility must be made before the start of the game.
- The Tournament Committee reserves the right to move a team to a different division.
- Each team is responsible for its own insurance coverage and will be required to sign a liability waiver. All players must sign and mail a Team Liability Waiver Form. The Waiver Form must be postmarked no later than February 29, 2008.
- All forms are available online at www.wlayc.org. All forms must be received by the WLAYC before the team’s application will be considered.

- Payment (Check payable to WLA Youth Club, mailed in. Please write the team name and level on the check.)
- Receipt of all forms will be acknowledged by e-mail. Notification of acceptance to play will follow.
To help defray the cost of the Tournament for your team, the WLA Youth Club will offer a discount based upon advertisements sold for our Tournament Booklet. Advertisements must be postmarked by February 29, 2008 in order for the discount to apply. This discount will be calculated at 50% of the cost of any advertisement placed on behalf of your team, up to the entry fee. The refund will be mailed to your team after the tournament.
